Here at the Bombshell Betty Dance Studio we are bringing in November with three new series that start this week and there are two specialty workshops this month: "Pastie Making" and "Negotiation 101 for Performers." Betty * CARDIO CAN-CAN Tuesdays, 7:30-8:30pm November 4, 11, 18 & 25 $60 Get in shape with Cancan Dancing! Each Cardio-Cancan class starts with a ballet based warmup and stretching, then we go over specific steps and techniques for cancan kick lines, traveling steps and turns, then get your heart pumping with flirty cancan choreography! It's so much fun, you won't even realize you are working out! All students in Cardio-Cancan classes are eligible to perform in Bombshell Betty's newest performance project, "Bombshell Betty's Knicker Kickers"! Appropriate for all levels of skill and flexibility. * BURLESQUETEER CHOREOGRAPHY INTENSIVE Tuesdays, 8:30-9:30pm November 4, 11, 18 & 25 November Choreography will be performed December 15 & 17! $60 Each month, learn a different fabulous group act performed by the Burlesqueteers! A different routine is covered each month, which will be performed at student shows THE FOLLOWING MONTH. You can take these classes and dive right into performing, or just take them to have some fun and get in shape with sexy choreography. No pressure, it's up to you. November Choreography: "Hoofer meets a Vixen" from Singing in the Rain, originally performed by Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YWBOfsXsDA). Classic, classy and sexy. My version has no lifts. This choreography is great for getting down some of Cyd Charisse's slinky movements! * INTRO TO BURLESQUERCISE Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30pm November 5, 12 & 19 $60 Been looking for a sexy workout or just want more excitement in your life? Come join in on the fun with this special introductory series. In addition to the unique bump-and-grind warmup and workout that Burlesquercise is famous for, you will learn the burlesque strut, how to create your own retro style dance moves and choreography, how to work a boa, twirl tassels (no nudity required) and more! You'll also learn the choreography for the dance numbers most often performed by "Bombshell Betty's Burlesqueteers," so pull your favorite lingerie out of hiding in the top drawer and let's shake it... with Burlesquercise! * PASTIE MAKING WORKSHOP Saturday, November 15, 2008, 2:00-5:00pm $35 Now you too can benefit from the experience of burlesque stars of yesterday and today to master the hottest accessory since false eyelashes! Make your own burlesque pasties (AKA "nipple tassels") to match every oufit! Fun on and off stage - try them in the bedroom for some sexy silliness!
