Aquarius Moon

The Full Moon rises in Aquarius tonight, illuminating the hopes and dreams of a lifetime.

The Aquarius Moon gains more momentum each year as we continue to transition into the 2,000-year Aquarian Age. What have you come to do in this lifetime? What is your dharma, your path of service?

The energy and tension of this lunation urges us deeper into the subconscious at the same time that we are called to shine our brightest, divine light.

Saturn joins the Sun in Leo, coaxing us forward into our power and purpose. The Moon aligns with Neptune in Aquarius, amplifying the soul's will to serve the higher good.

This is a magical time. Celebrate. Release doubt and fear. Move forward, guided by the Soul. Follow your dreams.

A Vision of the Future

We're on the verge of Something Big, Something Wonderful this fall. A sequence of planetary alignments will shake things up, throwing open a portal for expanded consciousness to reshape our world.

When you read that just now, what happened in your body? Did you tense up? If welcoming something new and wonderful means letting go of something old and comfortable, we tend to resist it. Why is it we humans resist change so much?

As I was putting the newsletter together this morning, a wise woman in California sent a brilliant insight. She wrote, "A friend once told me . . . Fear is just excitement with the breath held. (Breathe.)"

The changing outer forms of our lives tell us that big changes are happening on the inner levels. Our consciousness is shifting, and so is our world. Learning to flow with and even welcome the changes is what we're to master now, in this moment.

We live at the most exciting time imaginable on planet Earth. If your soul incarnates again 1,000 years from now, it will be, like, "ho-hum, this peace and love stuff, teleporting to the South of France, floating on air and creating things with our minds is nice . . . but I remember the good old days back in the 21st century when we had a vision and really turned this planet around - now that was something! The Earth and humanity were headed for disaster if things didn't change!"

Ok, that's a good perspective to have as we move through the balance of 2006 and into 2007. We've written a lot about Pluto and the Galactic Center. The exact conjunctions haven't even happened yet. Pluto the Transformer returns to forward motion in early September to continue his journey of alignment with the center of our galaxy, that roiling black hole that destroys and creates entire worlds.

Then we have a solar-lunar eclipse series in September. The solar eclipse is timed with the already potent Autumn Equinox portal. Along with the Pluto transit, Saturn-Neptune oppositions and a few other rock-'em sock-'em celestial events, this fall and winter will be overflowing with star-studded growth opportunities.

As we and the Earth embody higher and higher levels of consciousness, destruction and disintegration become a way of life. The world as we have known it - the third-dimensional illusion, actually - is crumbling all around us. It takes courage and conviction to stand strong throughout the changes, holding the vision and preparing the way for future generations to build upon.

We're in for a ride that will be well worth it. If you need a little help in the Learning to Let Go Department, visit the ocean. Notice how each wave reaches the shore, then returns to the vast body of water from which it was born, to form and reform again, as one wave, then another, then another.

Planetary Alignments Update

If the Moon is powerful enough to rule the tides, she certainly tugs on us humans. The Aquarius Full Moon crests tomorrow morning, disseminating love, wisdom, honor, courage and vision. You may feel more sensitive and emotional than usual. Channel the energy into drumming, chanting, dreaming, dancing, and other creative activities, giving thanks for this life and celebrating what has manifested in recent cycles.

All-about-business Saturn engages with dreamy Neptune in the first of a series of direct oppositions that will continue through June 2007. The Saturn-Neptune opposition, in combination with Pluto's transit of the Galactic Center in 2006-2007, stacks the deck in favor of massive paradigm shifting. We'll explore the possibilities in upcoming issues of Alignments.

Aquarius Full Moon - August 9 - 6:54 AM EDT; 10:54 AM GMT

All Full Moons are oppositions of the Sun and Moon, creating tension that energizes our individual and collective development. The masculine, assertive Sun opposes the feminine, reflective Moon. The Leo/Aquarius axis helps us discern our individual path within the context of the collective. This alignment is strengthened by additional oppositions - Saturn in Leo vs. Neptune in Aquarius (exact on August 31), and Uranus in Pisces vs. Mars in Virgo (exact on August 13). Welcome the Aquarian Age by stepping into your power, calling on all your ingenuity and passion to help create a better world. As the old forms dissolve, allow divine creativity to inspire higher forms. Ride the waves of change!

A note on timing: The Moon's energy is most powerful as she is waxing, or building, to full. The energy begins to disseminate immediately after the exact Sun-Moon-Earth alignment. Drumming, ceremony, prayer and intention work is most energized during the waxing phase - in this case, through the evening/night of Tuesday, August 8, and into the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 9.
