Something Fiery This Way Comes

Feeling off-balance, irritable or emotional this week?

A super-charged Full Moon alignment is building to a crescendo this weekend, and right behind it the explosive energies of the June Solstice are already heating up.

The next two weeks are a bubbling cauldron that could erupt in creative new possibilities if we keep cool and follow the flow.

We have lots of activity right now involving celestial heavyweights Pluto, Mars, Saturn and the Sun in air and fire signs. The combustible combination peaks at the Summer Solstice on June 21 with a Grand Cross in fixed signs, the lunar nodes conjunct the Aries Point, and a series of trigger aspects involving Mars, Saturn and Pluto.

Right now Uranus, Jupiter and Mercury are forming a Grand Trine in water signs, soothing the Sagittarius-Gemini Full Moon on June 11. This is a perfect weekend to stay in and treat yourself to a long, relaxing bath.

Once the Moon crests on Sunday, the intensity will ease up slightly, but high-pitched background energies from a Pluto-Sun opposition and Mars-Saturn conjunction will continue to build through the Solstice on June 21.

Release Point

At the moment of the Solstice, the explosive energies are released. Thoughts, emotions, belief patterns, behaviors that are overdue for change could finally give way. Both individually and collectively, consciousness is ripe for accelerated transformation to make way for incoming frequencies of Light.

As we clear and release, the celestial happenings over the next two weeks will support new projects, directions and goals. Working consciously with the energies, in alignment with your life path and purpose, will bring the greatest results.

These planetary energies support change on a mass scale. Although those who cling to a fear-based paradigm may react in explosive ways, this series of alignments could be a much-needed catalyst for meaningful revolution this summer.

Earth Changes

Earth changes are also likely to accelerate. The recent 6.3-magnitude earthquake in Indonesia triggered more activity from Mount Merapi, one of the most active volcanoes in the area. Merapi is located only 30 miles from the epicenter of the May 27 quake. A full eruption is likely, and thousands of villagers have been evacuated from the area.

Personal and planetary purification continues. This is a highly volatile time, and major breakthroughs in healing and consciousness are possible. Ceremony, meditation, connecting with the Earth, and prayer for all beings will bring peace to this transformational process.

Full Moon Festival

This weekend we enter a powerful portal of service, manifestation and growth.

The third of three Spring Lunar Festivals in esoteric traditions, the Sagittarius-Gemini Full Moon on June 11 opens us to higher frequencies of Divine Love.

In esoteric tradition, the full moons during the Sun’s transits of Aries, Taurus and Gemini are among the most potent for meditation, ritual and humanitarian service. These are the Festival of the Christ, Festival of Wesak and Festival of Goodwill.

Tibetan astrology reminds us that new and full moons are special gateways when our thoughts and intentions are multiplied many times over for the benefit of the Earth and all beings. At this lunation, the Festival of Goodwill, the enlightened energies of the Wesak Moon last month are disseminated, showering humanity and the Earth with Divine Love.

It’s up to each of us to receive and guide the incoming cosmic energies toward positive intent. Think gratitude. Think peace. Think enlightenment and service.

Planetary Alignments Update

The Full Moon this weekend is the Festival of Goodwill, one of the most potent lunations of the year. The June Solstice arrives when the Sun enters Cancer just 10 days later. Energies are running high during this period with a Sun-Pluto opposition and Mars-Saturn conjunction in fire and air signs.

The Lakota will be having their traditional Sundance Ceremony in South Dakota throughout this time. Sundancers sacrifice their personal needs and comfort in healing rituals for the People and Mother Earth. During the Festival of Goodwill, we focus on the advancement of humanity through meditation and prayer.

The rate of change on our planet is accelerating as we embark on a new path at the turn of the ages. Over the next two weeks, please consider joining energetically with others around the world who support this change consciously through prayer, ritual and intention, especially on the Full Moon and Solstice alignments.

A note on timing: Ceremony and ritual are considered to be most beneficial in the hours leading up to the exact time of the alignment. The June 11 Full Moon and June 21 Solstice alignments are exact during the day in most parts of the world. If you plan night-time ritual, the night before is the most appropriate time, as the energies are building.

Sun Trine Neptune – June 10

The Sun aspects dreamy, spiritual Neptune on Saturday, opening us to greater awareness and perception as the Moon waxes to full overnight.

Sagittarius-Gemini Full Moon – June 11 – 2:03 PM EDT; 6:03 PM GMT

The Full Moon reflects what we’ve held in the unconscious, ripening the mental and emotional bodies for healing. This one highlights how our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality. Pluto conjunct the Moon and opposing the Sun provokes deep and meaningful change. What’s ready to be transformed within you? A strong T-square involving Jupiter, Chiron and Mars-Saturn catalyzes emotional healing and frees us to create at higher levels. You may feel especially emotional at this Moon thanks to a Grand Trine in water signs – Jupiter in Scorpio, Uranus in Pisces and Mercury in Cancer. Messages from the Soul may come through dreams and visions.

Solstice Point – June 21 8:26 AM EDT; 12:26 PM GMT

In the Northern Hemisphere, the June Solstice is the longest day of the solar year, when the Earth, Moon and Sun align in an energetic portal. The Summer Solstice represents a culmination of growth since the Winter Solstice the previous December. How have you changed and grown since last winter?
