Gemini Awakening
Just a week past the Wesak Full Moon, the Sun begins a free-spirited journey today through the airy realms of Gemini.
The intensity of the past few weeks is relieved, at least briefly, with this playful transit. New connections, heady conversations and fresh ideas are in the air. Have you noticed more spring in your step?
Spiritual energies that began building from the Taurus New Moon-Beltane gateway of late April through the Wesak Full Moon last weekend are beginning to be integrated. Lightworkers are noticing major upgrades in consciousness on the crest of this wave. The changes continue.
The Earth, too, is receiving waves of high-frequency galactic energies. Those who are especially sensitive and Earth-connected will notice accelerated physical, mental and emotional changes as the energies are integrated.
Gemini, the first air sign of the zodiac, reminds us to b-r-e-a-t-h-e. Air is Spirit. When we breathe, we take Spirit into the body, we connect with Divine Source. The more deeply we breathe, the more connected we feel with the Cosmos and Mother Earth, the more centered and relaxed we become.
As the Sun transits Gemini, take time to breathe consciously and experience the Eternal Now.
Then play. Sing. Dance. Celebrate!
Planetary Alignments Update
Sun into Gemini – May 20
The Sun skips into Gemini today, and there’s a noticeable lightening up. Long-awaited mental clarity and higher awareness are on the horizon. Gemini seeks to learn and grow through understanding. Watch for new insights, new connections and “a-ha” moments. Castor and Pollux, the mythic twins in the Gemini symbol, represent the human desire to unify the realms of Heaven and Earth, to communicate between and ultimately unite spirit and matter.

Moon Occults Uranus – May 21
An occultation happens when the Moon moves to block the view of planets or stars from Earth. When the Moon occults Uranus, we’re in for a day filled with surprises, change-ups and sudden breakthroughs. Expect the unexpected!
Neptune Stations Retrograde – May 22
Spiritual, dreamy Neptune has been slowing down for weeks and actually turns retrograde on May 22 for a five-month journey in reverse through Aquarius. Aquarius, the Waterbearer, symbolizes the next 2,000-year zodiacal age and calls us to humanitarianism and service. Aquarius has to do with the collective. Neptune guides our dreams and perceptions. This shift is subtle. During this retrograde transit, we dream of a brighter, more evolved future for humanity, and how we might serve in creating a new reality.
Venus Trine Pluto – May 25
I love the way astrologer Lucy McCall of Taos, New Mexico, describes this alignment: "Digging deep today will find the ancient jewels of your soul."
Relationships, including how we relate to others and to Spirit, will be in line for deep, lasting changes as the Goddess of Love aspects the Agent of Transformation. Transiting Pluto, near the degree of the Galactic Center, may fuel passions or tear things apart in his dance with lovely Venus. Relationships of all kinds will be changing for the better. Venus also oversees finances, so watch for novel ways to improve your abundance quotient!
Gemini New Moon – May 26-27 - 10:26 PM PDT May 26; 1:26 AM EDT May 27; 5:26 AM GMT May 27
All New Moons signal a new beginning. This one fuels accelerated change with Uranus in Pisces square the Sun and Moon in Gemini. This lunation supports breakthroughs in limiting thought patterns. A word of caution: The electric, buzzy feeling of Uranus combined with Gemini’s scattered energy can be perilous. Be sure to center, ground, meditate and breathe (and maybe switch to decaf for a few days) to avoid accidents and injuries. With Mercury also in Gemini, this is a perfect opportunity to learn something new. Take (or teach) a new class. Delve into a subject that intrigues you. Record flashes of insight in your journal. Follow up. Put your ideas into play.
Venus into Taurus – May 29
The Goddess of Love and Finances returns to her home sign of Taurus for a sensual, earthy stay. New relationships develop more easily during this transit. Current relationships feel cozier. We become more creative and gain a more stable financial footing. Life is sweet with Venus in Taurus – enjoy the journey!
Symptoms of Galactic Alignment

On the path to 2012, one of the major signposts is Pluto’s alignment with the Galactic Center in 2006-2007.
Even though it’s often tied to the ending of the Mayan Calendar, 2012 is not so much a date as it is a concept. The central idea of 2012 is that the transformation of consciousness is accelerating on Planet Earth. A new world age is dawning, and our souls chose to incarnate at this special time to facilitate the transition.
Ancient texts and prophecy teachings from around the world describe this transformation. We are exiting a paradigm of limitation and entering an age of higher consciousness.
There are many changes associated with this shift. Earth changes include extreme weather and seismic activity, the shifting of continents and redrawing of coastlines. The Earth’s electromagnetics are changing. As Lightworkers, we feel the changes acutely. Some of the symptoms cropping up right now are unfamiliar even to the most spiritually experienced, and they can be frightening.
The physical symptoms are directly related to the incoming vibrations of cosmic energy, especially those emanating from the Galactic Center. As the planet Pluto, way out there in the fringes of our solar system, connects repeatedly in 2006 and 2007 with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, we’re not only feeling the spiritual effects, but very real physical effects as well.
Even if you’re in good health, you may have headaches, nausea, insomnia, sudden weight gain or loss, fluctuations in body temperature, swelling, buzzing sensations, ringing in the ears, back and shoulder pain, joint aches, tightness or pain in the chest, mood swings, emotional outbursts. These are some of the experiences we’ve been noticing and hearing about recently. Some are serious enough to warrant medical attention.
As the intensity of this world-age transition heats up, many with chronic physical issues are experiencing major setbacks in their healing. Others are encountering catastrophic illnesses for the first time.
Cosmic energies are reaching us from the center of our galaxy, via the portal of Pluto, to purify and recalibrate the Earth and her creatures, attuning us to a higher spiritual frequency called Divine Source, which is Love. Any part of us that resists this process - the upgrade to pure, divine Love - will be affected
Problems surface wherever we’re holding on or trying to control our experience, either consciously or unconsciously.
For example, how is your heart feeling these days? Have you had palpitations, tightness, pain in this chakra? Wild emotional responses? Problems with the physical organ of the heart? The Galactic Center is also known as the Heart Center. Your physical symptoms are connected to opening the heart to higher frequencies of Love.
From a cosmic perspective, this is a time of indescribable excitement as the Earth and humanity experience a spiritual ascension process. It’s important to maintain this perspective rather than getting caught up in fear about sudden changes in our lives and the symptoms we may be experiencing.
Learn to surrender. Embrace change. Allow energy to flow through your being. Practice love and compassion. Focus on what you choose to create, not what you need to release. Conscious breathwork, meditation, regular exercise, proper nutrition and journaling are daily practices that will ease the transition. Body and energy work, aromatherapy, flower essences, emotional release therapies and creative activities will help you release addictions and integrate the incoming galactic energies.
Pluto’s repeated conjunction with the Galactic Center this year and next, as well as planetary aspects to Pluto from within our solar system during this transit, are amping up the energies to fever pitch.
