Announcement

Every month for the past seven years, I've been writing this newsletter. I share tips, ideas, inspirations, and information about getting organized and simplifying life. Over time, the newsletter has changed and evolved and the time has come for another change -- one I think is very positive!

Instead of 100% of the content living in the body of an email, the beginning of each section will be in the email along with a live link, which will take you to my blog to read the rest of the piece.

This new format has a number of benefits for you...

First, following the links takes you to a dynamic and interactive resource full of new articles and information each month! You won't just be able to read the one article you clicked on. Because you'll be at my blog, you'll have access to all the information I've been writing for the past year.

Secondly, it gives you an opportunity to comment directly in real time to anything contained in the newsletter or to past blog entries as well. You simply hit the COMMENTS link at the end of any article and it opens up a comments box where you can leave your thoughts, questions or ideas.

Thirdly, it simplifies where all my information lives. Right now, my information is split between two places. All my newsletter archives live on my web site and blog entries live on my blog. The new format consolidates all my information into one fun, interactive site.

The fourth benefit is that although you'll still receive your monthly newsletter, you can also subscribe directly to the blog's feed. Simply enter your email into the Subscribe Me box at the top right, and you'll be notified whenever a new blog entry is posted.Oh, and no worries about
constant email notifications clogging your in-box...you'll only be notified once daily.

And lastly, the format change is great for you, because unlike the newsletter archives on my web site, my blog is searchable! The Sphere BlogSearch box on the blog allows you to
search all my posts and archives for information that interests you based on specific keywords. But wait, it gets better! It also returns search results from other blogs as well, so you'll have even more information if you choose to explore that direction. Content searchability means even if you miss a newsletter or you're a brand new subscriber, you can always find the content you want just by using the search box.

In short, this new format is a major win for both you and me and I truly hope you'll not only enjoy it, but that you'll be active on my blog, and leave comments and thoughts often!

You Asked...

Each month, readers write asking questions about how to organize various areas of their lives. This month's question comes from Avis in Spokane, Washington. She writes, "I'm married to a chef who loves to collect recipes so everything I've used in the past doesn't work for him."

Avis, there are several ways to organize recipes, and he may have to try a few methods before he finds one that he really likes. The secret is to let him set up the system according to what makes sense to him, rather than trying to set it up yourself. Of course, you can help, but the process should be driven by his own work and thinking styles.

Here are a few ideas for organizing both electronic and paper recipes...
