"I Will Trust Him"
by Kirk Hunt Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. Job 13:15 KJV Job went from having it all to having less than nothing. After catastrophic losses of wealth, family and health you might expect anyone's faith to waiver. Then Job's friends descended on him with accusations and rebukes. Job held to God, through his tears and heartbreak. His every response pointed back to his real source. Not even foolish friends could sway Job's faith. Of course Job's losses and trials hurt. Human being feel the pain and grieve their losses. The real answer to the test is your response. Do you love God's gifts or do you love God. It is in our season of loss and trial that you find, or forge, your real character. It's easy to play the righteous faith-bearer while the money flows and the family is fine. The real test comes when disasters and sorrows compete for dominance in your life. Job cried a lot of tears. Depression, than rage, flowed through his soul. Still, one thing remained the same: His faith in God. No matter what is going on in your life, hold onto your faith. Worship God because He is good, not because He provides good. Trust Him, no matter what. Think: We love and worship God for who He is, not for what we gives us. Pray: “Lord, I choose to trust You through it all.”
