"Focus Your Concern" by
Kirk Hunt Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee? (Ruth 3:1 KJV) The woman who declared herself “Mara” or “bitter” seems very sweet in this verse. Not assured of where her next meal will come from, Naomi focuses on Ruth. As distressed and destitute as she is, her heart and mind turn toward a solution for her adoptive daughter. You will be surprised at how much you have to give. Just focus your concern on others. Quit worrying about you and take care of them Giving isn't always amount financials and consumables. Wisdom is often far more than we think it is. Kindness stretches farther than we imagine. Coaching and training the next champion is a bigger blessing than you think or know. Being a spiritual father and grandfather has its own rewards. Mothering two, or three, generations delivers its own worth. It's possible no one will know. Not even your protege may see your hand behind their blessing. God will. That's audience enough. You're never too old to win. Your previous failures can't keep you from being a champion now. Focus your concern on someone who needs or wants your help. Your story isn't over. The focus has simply shifted. There's more than one way to leave a legacy. Focus your concern on yours. Even if it's someone else. Think: I can bless and benefit others, if I focus my concern. Pray: “Lord, show me to where and how to bless others.
