"Dance In The Fire" by
Kirk Hunt He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (Daniel 3:25 KJV) Nebuchadnezzar threw three men into the furnace. It was a costly throw. The elite soldiers who did the deed, died from the heat outside of the furnace. Real saints live through stuff. Often, His will guides us through, not around. How will you respond, when the heat is on? Shadrach, Meschach and Abednego should have died, screaming. Some traditions say they sang praises to God from the bottom of the furnace. Scripture clearly records them walking in the flames. It is hard to think they were silent. It is easy to image they danced in joy and victory. There you are, in the middle of your circumstances. Despite the heat, you're still alive. Where others gave in, or gave up, you're still blessed and blessing. The bottom of the furnace is the top place for praise and worship. Anybody can love God when times are good. Real saints adore Him everywhere. Especially in the industrial smelters. You are not alone. God's grace has been with you the entire time. One day, He will reveal to you the plan and purpose of your furnace days. Until then, keep the faith. In the meanwhile, continue your journey. Maintain your witness. Sing in the flames. Dance in the fire. Think: Even in the furnace, I should praise God. Pray: “Lord, help me to praise and worship You, even from the furnace.” Copyright © November 2007, Kirk Hunt |
