Dreaming - Live Your Road Trip Dream - December, 2007 EZezine

Have You Missed  Us?

We can't believe that the whole fall has passed us by and I haven't gotten a newsletter out since we returned from our East Coast Trip for the "Go RVing" campaign. Our travel schedule has been crazy - October found us in Detroit MI, Ashland, OR, Manzanita, OR, Seattle, WA, and all over South Carolina. Whew!

We had a great time in Boston and on our media tour. If you are curious, check out our MyTripJournal log of the trip here.

Now we are just back from a family wedding in Palm Springs (rough duty) and are desparately trying to get ready for the holidays - including sending our best holiday wishes to all of you. Whatever your plans for your family holiday celebrations, we wish you all the best and fond memories, for that's what it really is all about.

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths that we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." - unknown

Happy Holidays to you and our most sincere wishes for a happy and prosperous 2008.

A sneak peak at the new book... shhh...

It's not even up on Amazon yet and only a few buyers for the book chains have seen it, but our readers get to see it here first.  In addition to all the great information we've always had, we've added information on working on the road, mid-life sabbaticals and "road schooling" your children.  We've updated the budgeting and technology sections, streamlined some of the text and added a resource page of helpful websites.  We hope that you'll like it even better than the first edition.

Advance copies will be available to order just for our readers about mid-February -- just on the website.

Mary & Keith Head Out On Their Road Trip Dream

Hi Carol,

Our plan to leave Nov. 1 for the first leg of our journey is still on track, although you may be surprised to learn we still have no MH in our driveway!! ( factory and delivery delays).Tomorrow is the big day when we finally take posession, drive it home, and begin to get acquainted. At this point, our idea of taking a few regional trips is not going to happen. We do plan to drive it about 30 miles up the road to purchase our National Parks pass at the Cape Cod National Seashore Center, then spend the night in a nearby CG. At least we'll feel like we've given the "Cape Coddage" a test run.

Again, it was so nice meeting you. We may take you up on your offer to connect when we are on the West coast (unless of course you are on the road again)! You will be able to check out our travels on the Trip Journal web-site real soon.

Regards,
Mary McGrath & Keith

Imagine our surprise when this wonderful couple showed up at the booth in Boston with their book in hand wanting an autograph and to share their excitement of leaving on their trip -- as a result of our encouragement in the book.

Since it is now past November 1, we can only imagine that they are on their way and having the time of their lives.

Congratulations to Mary & Keith - another couple Living their Road Trip Dream.

A Social Networking Site for the Boomer Generation

The kids have MySpace and Facebook, RVers have RVScrapbook, and now a site particularly for boomers.  EONs is a relative newcomer, but is growing by leaps and bounds, and I personally like the look and feel of the site.

They have a good selection of groups to join, and they make interacting with your friends easy and safe.  Have fun!
