From Wild Woman Network: Christmas Desire
Welcome to the 7th issue of WWN arriving in your mailbox around the 15th of every month, or after a transit strike and working at a church preparing for Christmas services.
"Cut down the number of things you do until you can genuinely love every last one them. Let love be your guide and your delight, and inhabit a world small enough for that to happen -- it will grow later, as needed, as love fills and softens you and makes you more elastic. God, the author of love, isn't interested in giving us nervous breakdowns at Christmastime or any other time. Love isn't supposed to wear us out. It comes among us to make us strong. "

From Sandra Lee Schubert
Christmas is a time for hope. Walter Brueggeman in his book, The Prophetic Imagination, talks about Jesus as alchemy. He comes not to create a new religion but to change the world. His birth represents a shift in consciousness. No matter your faith or beliefs the opportunity is ours to take advantage of this shift. I like this idea of this birth bringing something for everyone, we are all able to tap into the power of the Christ consciousness. What would we want to create if we could really embrace this idea? My idea of Christmas spirit has diminished but think I have just covered it up with junk. My desk is piled up with papers in all sorts of configuration of piles. My work space is covered. If I were to remove the paper I would have a desk to work on again. I have taken away all the things that have tied me to the idea of the holiday season. The lights remain in the closet and the cards are unwritten. Stripping away everything asks me to look at what is really there. I have this desire. I want to create my own meaning not one that has been manufactured for me. My desire is to connect to this promise of hope, this opportunity for change. I am not interested in just losing weight (though that is on the list), making more money or finally finding love. I am interested in finding the true meaning of life, growing deeply and changing in profound ways.
Still there are things that I want. There is an editor who is interested in me writing a book. So I have a proposal to create, my first. I have seven articles to write in January. Yes, i want to lose weight, become healthy, make more money and of course find love. I would like my family and friends to be happy. I would like to live in a great nation again. There is such a profound sadness in this country. Can we find our way and become a beacon of light and hope? What is it that we need to be great again? During the past transit strike here in New York City I spent lots of time waiting on a long line for a private bus that would deliver the stranded across the 59th street bridge. There was lots of bonding, hope the bus would come, hope the strike would end. We were tired and our feet hurt but we strove on and so many were willing to help. Cars stopped and offered rides. Strangers willing to be with others just for a moment. I met one woman on the bus. Both of us had been on the bus the night before. We shared our travel stories and as I left she wished me a good life. My desire is to live in a great nation. A nation where our leaders wish for everyone a great life and not at the cost of another's. A nation that is hopeful and full of promise. A nation that is an example for good things. A country that gives every one the opportunity to be happy and free and to live the best life possible. Each of us can begin the change now. Help a neighbor, speak well of others, do good when good seems impossible. Let us create a great life together.

Write A Way: Spiritual Writing
By Sandra Lee Schubert
The holiday season brings with it the rush of parties, shopping and vacations. Many of us look forward to this time of year for its festive air. The sting of winter can be thwarted when you enter into a store or home with music and decorations that capture the eye. But the one thing that can get lost in all of the hobnob is the spiritual aspect of the season. When we get lost and want to go back to the original roots of the season, we can turn to books for our inspiration. Writing on things spiritual can be tricky. There are all kinds of... (Read on)

Romantic tips by Laurie Sue Brockway
13 Steps For Making Your Romantic Dreams Come True:
"Always be ready - you can meet that special someone at the most unexpected times and places." -- Dr. Judy Kuriansky, The Complete Idiot's Guide To Dating
Welcome to Project Soul Mate.
These tips will help you to open your heart, your arms and your life to love in 2005 and beyond. Forget about searching for the one who might be The One. First, clean up stuff you no longer need, get your life in order, and simultaneously, get ready for love. Here are just a few of my pearls of wisdom on the topic, culled from more than 25 years of work on the front line of the Relationship Revolution and many more than that out and about on Love's Battlefield.
#7: Acknowledge the mythology of that guides you. The concept of soul mates is as old as time. In Edgar Cayce on Soul Mates: Unlocking The Dynamics of Soul Attraction (ARE Press), author Kevin J, Todeschi talks about the many images and stories of lovers who were destined for one another that are ingrained in us from history, folklore and religion. Isis and Osiris. Krishna and Radha. Cupid and Psyche. He eloquently points out how in fairy tales, it was the kiss of one certain prince who could awaken the Sleeping Beauty; and only one Beauty could tame and the Beast an return him to a state of grace. You don’t have to go for the big, epic love story. It’s not everyone’s destiny to have a love so great and earth shattering that it ends up recorded in human history. We may long for that level of profundity and yet how many of really want something that huge and all consuming? It is important to recognize the myth that has helped shape your love life and cull the best aspects of archetypes that inspire you. Re-evaluate and rewrite it: Take the best parts and favorite aspects and make them your own. Many humans are daunted by the concept of always having to live and love like a God or Goddess, and yet we are happy to know that we can tap into that energy as we choose. Stay tuned for tips 8-13

Abundance tips from Lucia Luna:Tip #5 Don’t wait any longer to make your dreams come true.
Because a New Year is about to begin, let this year be the one in which you make your dreams come true. We must each allow the magic of new beginnings in the New Year air to remind us of what is important to us. Recognize that time is finite, and that this moment is all we truly have. Don’t waste these precious moments. Learn to use the moment to take the action that will lead you to your dreams.
This year, make a list of your priorities, the things that really matter to you, and all that you would like to achieve. Our dreams remain intangible without action, so use the optimism of this time of year to make a plan. Write down your goals, and the steps you will take to achieve them, and daily perform at least one small task that will bring you closer to your dreams. When you do a little each day, eventually big things occur. Action is the tool we use to bring our dreams to life.
Don’t wait any longer to make your dreams come true. A New Year is just beginning; make this one be yours.
