To our new and returning readers! This issue of WAT focuses on irresistable calls to action. Please note, many words below have funky characters in them, this is to keep WAT out of your junk bin and in your inbox, I really do know how to spell, really! ;-)

Here they come, there they go...

Getting visitors to your website is only a piece of the equation. Think about it, what's the average time you spend at a site? What can you do to get your visitors to take some action to create a relationship with you when they get to your site?

What's your irresistable call to action?:

Here's some examples of calls to action you can place on your site. Many of these are easily implemented with a juicy and unique gi*ve away.

  • Fr*ee Report:
    Offer a top ten list, a survey result report, or something like that.
  • Fr*ee Ezine:
    You are publishing an ezine, aren't you? Do your site visitors know that? Is the sig*n-up a no-brainer? (If you answer no to the 2nd or 3rd questions, we need to talk!)
  • Cou*pon:
    These are easy enough to come up with. How about a disc*ount on your services?
  • Alliance Giv*e Awa*y:
    How about partnering with someone else and offering their stuff as an incentive? Example: Recently, a client of mine partnered with the publisher of a valuable e-book. Everyone that joined my client's member base got a fr*ee copy of the e-book, simply for joining. Plus, the publisher of the book got a butt-load of exposure. Talk about a win-win irresistable call to action!

The important thing to remember is offer some juicy irresistable something, and make it obvious and content driven. The giv*e away, should focus on adding value, not on self promo*tion. The goal of getting your site visitors to take action is to initiate a relationship. Relationships and trust are the strongest foundation for sal*es.
