Welcome... To our new and returning readers! This issue of WAT focuses on the power of email signatures. Yeah, I know, we've all heard about it before, but here's a twist... The Power of Email Signatures... So you're living in a virtual world. And, you want one of those groovy cool email signatures. I can't tell you how often I see a boring sig with a URL, phone #, and address. I mean, what's the point? They already *have* your email address, if they're looking at your email signature, don't they? Your sig line is a great place to wow 'em! Of all the email marketing avenues out there, the signature line is probably one of the least emphasized, and most read part of your email marketing efforts. Instead of the usual contact stuff, why not:
Here's one of my favorite sigs from a programmer friend (names and #'s removed for privacy): PICK/Unix Systems Group (translation: the above code is written in perl language, this lad's specialty) So, go get creative, and just say "No!" to boring email signatures. (Oh, and do try to keep your sig under 4 lines, it's just courteous and more professional) Are You Twisted? Do you have an out of the ordinariy marketing idea? Send me your most unique e-marketing strategies! If accepted, your strategy will be included in a future issue of WAT! Send to twisted at webcocktail [dot] com.
