Madison County Community Chorus Gearing Up for Christmas
This summer, the Madison County Community Chorus steering committee met twice to decide on some very important issues: who would direct the chorus, and when and where they would perform. Who will fill the position of director is still to be determined. The committee, consisting of Betty Smith, Barbara Scott, Pat Harper, Mary Reed, Kim Davis and Sunny Clouser, are pleased to announce a Christmas Performance on December 5 at 7:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church. This performance follows the annual Christmas Parade in downtown Madisonville. So after the parade, stroll on over to the church and enjoy the magic as Christmas carols fill the air and lift our spirits! The Chorus has also set their rehearsal schedule as follows:
Sunday afternoons from 3:00 – 4:30 pm in the Choir Rehearsal Room of Madisonville’s First Baptist Church (FBC) from Oct. 11 through Nov. 22. The last rehearsal before the performance will take place in the sanctuary of the the First United Methodist Church (FUMC), on Nov. 29. There will be a performance at Riverwood Nursing Home at 3:00 pm on Dec. 5 preceding the FUMC performance at 7:30 pm.
