Women’s rights are
human rights?

Stephen Henry Lewis,
United Nations’ envoy for HIV AIDS in Africa, 2006, said:

“[Women's rights have] never been made real, and so long as men control the levers and bastions of power… it never will be real. The demeaning diminution of women is everywhere evident… freedom from sexual violence, the right to sexual autonomy, to sexual and reproductive health, social and economic independence, and even the whiff of gender equality are barely approximated. It’s a ghastly, deadly business, this untrammeled oppression of women in so many countries on the planet.”

War Against Women
(Broadcasted on CBS 60 Minutes 011308)

DR Congo Doomed

DR Congo is not a new bubbling beverage being marketed for our guzzling pleasure. DR stands for Democratic Republic, which sounds really patriotic, although an oxymoron if ever humankind has been sold one. Look up the words in the dictionary. Democracy implies equal social status. Republic guarantees it won’t happen, seeing as how a republic is primarily for the promotion of agriculture and business interests.

After the last eight years of the Bush regime, even United States citizens are beginning to realize the downward spiral effect on the working class people who are systematically excluded from equality by all-powerful republics. Nevertheless, they support big business with their labors in order to feed their families.

Newest Approved Weaponology

It’s not new, but it’s making headlines—rape as a weapon of war. Evidently there are no rules of engagement set up by the leaders of these relentless fuckers, because a three-year old child or a 75-year-old great-grandmother (and all in between) are fair game for unspeakable torture just because the rapist wears a uniform. Gang rape is community ‘entertainment.’ Objects that might be used in a bar brawl are inserted in vaginas as the latest craze. This man’s world has gone mad with too much power, too little intelligence, and not enough opposition.

This particular form of ‘weaponology’ has been going on for ten years now. It reportedly spread from Rwanda (where 4 million people died) to the eastern Congo where gold, silver, diamonds, and tin are the desired spoils of the unseen but drooling funders of warring competitors. At the least, three factions are competing to see who gets there first by sending their military troops to capture the ‘hill’—a term used in most wars to depict valuable property that some Good Old Boy (or his side) is coveting. But first they must drive out the residents, the populace that has called the property ‘home’ for thousands of years.

Civic and Societal Break-down

The mega-result of rape is what counts, not how many individual women and little girls have been defiled (90% in one village) while others are dying, dead, or wishing they were dead. Good men who have no guns or uniforms flee for their lives from their brother pursuers. Villages are emptied due to fear epidemics. Psychological pathos seeps into every mind. Families are separated, children orphaned, elders abandoned. Order mutates to utter chaos. Rules are trashed and criminals reign. Food, water, and shelter become luxuries that only the strong and powerful can procure. Life has only one purpose—to survive. Second choice is to die quickly.

It’s definitely noble of non-profit organizations to treat the symptoms in the aftermath of such invasive and despicable tactics, but not good enough to ever allow healing of the victims and a return to normalcy. Charitable time and money would be better spent in treating the cause of such holocaustic events—certainly capable of curtailing such plans before a decade has passed. As long as there’s gold in them thar hills, hundreds of thousands of innocent people whose lives weren’t enviably comfortable to begin with will suffer daily—mostly women.

Women Stand Alone

The raped victims are ostracized due to religious and traditional pressures while the perpetrators freely seek their next innocent target because they know they won’t be exposed and punished for their actions. Even though the victims pray for relief from their nightmarish situations, how many religious leaders are speaking out and demanding this warped, atrocious tactic of war be stopped? How many good men around the globe are demanding a halt to the most inhumane form of terror known to woman? How many billions of dollars have been spent looking for one man—Osama bin Laden? How much is donated for the treatment and care of women mutilated far beyond the scope of plastic surgery’s techniques to repair? How many non-profit and ‘service’ organizations are lining up to protest at the doors of those leaders pretending not to notice that more than 100,000 women and little girls’ bodies per year are being invaded by not just one but often multiple thrill-seeking penises? How many pharmaceutical companies and health organizations are rushing to end the dick-dippers from spreading deadly disease or impregnating females who are yet just children?

Men are the beneficiaries of war, having thrived on it for millennia. They cannot be counted on to stop the insanity of raping and killing. They have built their manhood from it. They have guaranteed their superiority at enormous cost to the human race, both financially and genetically. Women may not be as well-educated, but they are wiser than their keepers when it comes to forming right relations for binding the human family together—until now. Men have run amuck and are taking us down with them although they act as if what they are doing is normal and necessary. Is our turn coming?

How much greater would all humans be had there not been wars to slow, sometimes halt our advancement as a species? How much genius has been thwarted, annulled, wasted, and snuffed out by their ghoulish practices benefiting the greedy few? All too soon we will forget 60 Minutes and rush to Wal-Mart for the latest shade of eye shadow while glazed eyes of the hundreds of thousands of so-called survivors stare into their helpless, hopeless, and horrifically dim futures.

Fantasies or Solutions?

Women of the world, unite your voices and financial resources to save our sisters of all ages. What could we do with our combined funds and strength? We could hire private military companies to protect women and children under threat. We could form all-female military units to outnumber and outsmart the rapists and killers of our global sisters and their daughters. We could donate our own weapons to the women to protect them selves. We could send stun guns, knives, pepper spray, clubs, umbrellas or any other device that will help women and girls fend off their attackers.

We could find out which countries, which leaders, which corporations, which of the already rich fucks (or wanna be’s) are supporting this holocaust by supplying the weapons and the green flag that in effect says: anything goes, including raping babies; do whatever it takes to get the gold and related treasures; make deadly examples of good people who object or get in the way; annihilate entire cultures if necessary; crucify any and all dissidents.

We could contact every world leader and human rights organization as often as it takes for them to hear and react to our voices of protest. We could identify and utilize any male-oriented sympathizers to help stop the insanity their barbaric brothers are perpetrating. We could wield our purchasing power by identifying, locating, and girlcotting manufacturers, suppliers, producers, or protectors of the warring factions.

We could withhold sex until our few good men do something about their sick brothers. We could enlist every possible deterrent to the aid of these innocent but targeted victims. We could stop being nice.

Women have been too nice for too long and are getting slaughtered, literally, for it. So don’t stop thinking about it. Don’t stop talking about it. Don’t pride yourself on being a lady while hundreds of thousands of our gender are being raped, tortured, or killed in the name of pumped up pimps for the “man.”
